Going Beyond the Finish Line

When you do the Jetty 2 Jetty, you’re in for an experience you’re bound to enjoy, The 2019 J2J has been uniquely designed to cater to people from all walks of life.

Whether you have a passion for running, want to walk for a cause or feel like going for a pleasant stroll along the beaches, we have taken into account every aspect of the race, even after you’ve crossed the finish line.

There is so much to see and experience at Redcliffe when the race is done and you’re looking for a way to cool down!

Here is a list of just some of the amazing things you can do while you are here in the Moreton Bay Region, so whether you are here for the weekend, for fun or just the run, we are certain that there will be something for you:

1. Sunday morning stroll through the Redcliffe Jetty Markets

Take a relaxing walk along the waterfront before your big race and enjoy the gorgeous views that the Redcliffe Peninsula has to offer. Take a walk through our famous Redcliffe Jetty Markets for trinkets and other amazing gift ideas.

2. Visit Bee Gees Way

Bee Gees Way is a free outdoor multi-media exhibition located in the heart of the Redcliffe Seaside Village. Celebrating the Gibb brothers’ phenomenal musical career and their links to Redcliffe. It features life-sized statues of the brothers, photographs, personal stories and reflections and never-before-seen home movie footage.

3. Settlement Cove Lagoon

Cool down by taking a swim in Settlement Cove Lagoon because there’s nothing more refreshing than a dip in the water after a long tough run. This gorgeous body of water will make you relax and be sure to cool you off after your big race.

4. Fish and chips on the beach

Cool off by sitting down and enjoying the delicacies of the area. Select from one of our MANY beaches in the Redcliffe area, grab some fish and chips and if they somehow still have energy to burn, take the kids to one of the many parks around the Peninsula like the Scarborough Park with its awesome playground equipment and gorgeous beach frontage.

5. Boutique stores and vintage shops

Go for a stroll through the treasure trove of vintage and Boutique shops that are scattered throughout all of Redcliffe and the surrounding areas where you are bound to find a bargain! Check out the Visit Moreton Bay Region website for more information!

6. BBQ on the Beach side

Nothing says relaxing like a BBQ on the beach side, some great food, surrounded by friends and family after a long day. Sit back and relax at Suttons Beach Pavilion after your run, you’ve earnt it.

7. Redcliffe entertainment centre

8. Gollum tree at Scarborough

Uncover the magic and the mystery at the Gollum Tree at Scarborough, solve the riddle and if you are extra perceptive, you might even see who is living inside the tree.

9. Whale Watching

It would not be Redcliffe without the whales, if you are here for a day or a week, you cannot go past watching the gorgeous whales that sail through.
